Compensation and Benefits Analyst - Dallas, TX

The NTTA is looking for a seasoned professional to administer company compensation, benefits, and leave of absence programs.  The role consists of 50% compensation and benefits administration and 50% leave of absence administration.  Reporting to Compensation and Benefits Manager, this role will serve as a subject matter expert in compensation, benefits and leave programs and the central point of contact for the administration of all leaves, which includes but is not limited to FMLA, Workers Compensation, Military Leave, Short- and Long-Term Disability, ADA, HIPAA privacy laws and company attendance guidelines and/or policies.  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete administration of all health and welfare benefit programs
  • Ensure benefit plans are administered according to plan provisions and regulatory guidelines
  • Formulate solutions to solve needs regarding benefits
  • Assist Senior Compensation and Benefits Analyst with the administration of benefits processes.  Interpret and explain benefits to new hires, assist employees with benefits questions and issues, assist with planning events and annual enrollment, prepare and release funding files, coordinate COBRA notifications, respond to inquiries, and verify information 
  • Reconcile benefits provider billings and process for payment
  • Provide ongoing compensation and benefits analysis and research best practices
  • Assist in the analysis, design, and administration of NTTA’s compensation programs
  • Evaluate jobs, prepare salary recommendations, perform associated analysis, and participate in compensation surveys
  • Prepare weekly and monthly metrics and other reports for management
  • Complete administration of all leave of absence programs
  • Track all leaves and ensure that leave requests are processed and required documentation is collected, accurate and complete
  • Validate submitted paperwork, approve or deny requests and/or makes recommendations for approval or non-approval
  • Maintain leave plan balances and FMLA time remaining, and monitor progress and return to work dates
  • Follow-up on open claims/cases, accurately audit all leave programs and resolve issues timely
  • Communicate with employees and managers on all leave status
  • Interpret, translate and disseminate leave information to appropriate parties, as appropriate. 
  • Effectively streamline processes and procedures while maintaining exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of leave administration, policies and procedures in problem solving and in the handling of complex cases 
  • Coordinate with HR Generalists on attendance policy violations
  • Complete administration of the Workers Compensation program.  Review and report claims, manage return to work program, prepare bona fide job offers, work with vendors, manage substance screenings and monitor safety compliance
  • Complete administration of ADA processes.  Coordinate legal reviews, and recommend approvals or denials based on legal feedback
  • Serve as a back up to the Senior Compensation and Benefits Analyst in the management of data interfaces, retirement plan reconciliations and contribution transmittals, and assist with the development and implementation of employee training
  • Ability to cope with job related stress including but not limited to deadlines, customer, supervisory and staff interactions, multi-tasking and high work volumes is required

Bachelors and minimum of five years directly related experience. PeopleSoft experience preferred.  JJ Keller FMLA Software experience a plus.  HR Certifications (CEBS, CBP, SHRM-CP, etc.) preferred but not required
