Currently, the Human Resources department is seeking a self-motivated, versatile, Compensation Analyst II who will provide consultations to our HR business partners and business line management on all matters related to compensation which include, but are not limited to job evaluations, salary administration guidance, and compensation policy guidance .  Additionally, as part of the compensation team, you will play a key role in analyzing data and developing compensation metrics for the 11th District.  This role will also give you an opportunity to participate in salary surveys and conduct market pricing to ensure that our total rewards package is desirable and competitive o that we can continue to attract, develop and retain superb talent. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Consults with HR Business Partners and business areas to lead analysis and evaluation of jobs in order to determine market value, salary range, FLSA classification, and workers compensation classification. Additionally, provides salary administration guidance and compensation policy guidance.

  • Collaborates with compensation team and HR data analyst to conduct analysis as requested which includes compiling, analyzing and summarizing data to create reports and dashboards, and to inform consultative recommendations.

  • Reviews and processes salary actions (merits, promotions, market adjustments, cash awards and incentives) and offers/requisitions via the human capital management platform. 

  • Participates in trend/salary surveys; maintains market pricing tool which includes formatting/loading salary survey data, linking market data to Bank jobs, and maintaining local system parameters (trend amount, data views); conducts second year matching; maintains survey matches; and maintains job description module.

  • Participates in annual salary structure analysis.

  • Participates with annual salary planning, equity and variable pay processes for non-official staff; assists with maintenance of budgets associated with each process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Skilled using technology tools and digital platforms including market pricing tools and Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms

  • Above average math skills and experience using tools to conduct data analysis

  • Excellent time management skills including multi-tasking, managing deadlines and providing project oversight

  • Excellent written, verbal and listening skills to effectively communicate with staff at all organizational levels

  • Ability to build and manage client relationships, provide effective consultation, and negotiate win-win solutions

  • Ability to counsel and assist management and/or employees as well as interpretation of Bank policy and procedures

  • Ability to resolve complex problems and recommend solutions which are in the best interest of the organization

  • Ability to maintain trust and integrity when working with confidential situations and information

  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure

  • Knowledge in identifying prospective compensation strategies and market trends using market research

  • Knowledge of Workers Compensation regulations and Department of Labor regulations

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other business related field of study

  • Minimum 3 years related experience in compensation or performing related duties

  • Microsoft Office suite, specifically MS Excel, experience required

  • Experience with Human Capital Management platform and market pricing tool preferred  

  • Certified Compensation Professional certifications is a plus

  • Experience using data visualization tools is a plus

  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted

 

WORK HOURS AND CONDITIONS:

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with flexibility to meet the needs of the customers as required by project schedules or management; this is an external-facing/outreach-style recruitment role and requires upwards to 15% travel year-round
