    The Senior Compensation and Benefits Analyst provides support and direction to HR and the Business related to compensation and benefits programs.   This position has a primary role supporting Enable’s compensation programs and processes and a secondary role support of the company’s benefits programs.  Conducts job analysis, market pay analysis and compliance reviews to ensure consistent, compliant, competitive and equitable compensation programs.  Administers compensation survey data and participation through the use of third-party compensation management applications.  Supports benchmarking studies and regular reporting on the company’s market position through in-depth analysis of survey data.   Provides guidance and recommendations to the business on job description development and standardization.  Administers company-wide job description database and associated applications.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    Conduct research and analysis on market pay policies, practices and rates.

    Thoroughly research and identify areas for pay analysis.  Produce summary analysis and present to department leadership.

    Perform statistical or operational analyses on assigned projects in order to identify trends, variances, and data gaps.

    Administer the software and process for Enable’s Annual Pay Review process and annual promotion process.  Support functional leadership with critical analysis, insights and compensation recommendations.

    Collaborate with department management and recommend specific actions in response to analysis. 

    Conduct job analysis and market pricing for new and existing jobs; analyze and document essential duties and requirements; determine FLSA classification.

    Support budget and forecast process through complex modeling and analysis of compensation and benefits costs.

    Provide recommendations to management to enhance equity and consistency of job descriptions.

    Guide managers in the creation of objective and distinct developmental steps within job family job descriptions.

    Provide guidance to management on pay and incentive decisions during the Annual Pay Review process.

    Minimum Education & Experience: 

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Human Resources required.

    Master’s degree in Human Resources preferred.

    Five (5) years of experience performing complex statistical, financial or human resources analysis.

    Three (3) years of experience in compensation administration and analysis preferred.

    Brief Description:

    The purpose of the Sr. Compensation and Benefits Analyst position is to administer compensation, benefits, workers’ compensation, wellness programs, and related human resources information systems, legislative updates, documents, and records for the organization.  It is also responsible for monitoring, and reporting benefits, compensation and wellness metrics, budget, legislative updates and contract management activities. 

    This position is responsible for administering and implementing effective compensation programs that positively influence employee attraction and retention.  This is accomplished by developing, upgrading and revising the existing salary plans as needed, administering the pay for performance program, conducting and participating in market salary studies, developing and analyzing job descriptions, assigning pay ranges and making new hire salary recommendations.

    6.   Manages participation in external salary surveys used for compensation program analysis, job evaluations, and job descriptions.

    7.   Maintains and develops job descriptions and grades for all positions within the organization.

    8.   Manages annual merit process and incentive compensation processes.

    9.   Builds and maintains strong and effective working relationships with HR Business Partners, Payroll, and Benefits. Works closely with the benefits function to ensure the total compensation and rewards programs meet the needs of the company and the employees.

    10. Partners with HRIS Analyst to ensure appropriate measurements are identified and gathered for reporting purposes. Performs meaningful analysis and provides reporting to management to serve as a tool for decision making.
    11. Participates in various compensation and performance management related projects which involve revision, development, and/or redesign of existing programs. Uses analytical rigor to interpret quantitative and qualitative information and draw conclusions in a logical, systematic way to prepare recommendations.

    12. Maintains current knowledge of government regulations, laws and best practices to ensure compliance.

    13. Participates in HR departmental goals, objectives, and projects to ensure an effective, sustainable, people strategy over the long-term.

    14. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. 

    15. Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
