This position will bring a strong focus to the administration of benefits and wellness in a self-insured environment and partner with an external provider on managing City dedicated healthcare centers.

    Job Duties:

    The Assistant Director will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality, responsiveness, efficiency, and effectiveness of assigned human resources programs, and working on the continuous improvement of city services.     Job Duties:

    Leave of Absence Administration (70%):

    This position is responsible for the effective and efficient administration of all leave processes, including the validation of documentation, the complete tracking of leave of absence processes using spreadsheets, preparing metrics, communicating with employees/managers on leave status, interpreting leave of absence information, and translating and disseminating information to appropriate parties. The role is also responsible for effectively streamlining processes and procedures while maintaining exceptional customer service.

    The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge and understanding of FMLA, Workers Compensation, Disability and other leave of absence laws, the ability to manage files, intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills, ability to create and manage complex tracking spreadsheets, exceptional customer service, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), strong prioritization and organization skills, consistent tracking and follow-through of tasks.     Benefits and Basic Compensation Administration (30%):

    This position is responsible for the administration of health and welfare benefits. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of benefits enrollments, assisting employees with benefits claim issues and plan changes, responding to benefits and retirement plan inquiries, management of all data, and reconciling and processing health and welfare related benefit billings. Researches, analyzes, and evaluates benefit plans and programs. This role is also responsible for resolving problems/disputes between employees (active, retired and terminated) and various vendors.     Job Summary:

    The Compensation Director will manage the ongoing evaluation, design, and implementation of Invited compensation programs and processes. This position will lead and deliver best practices across the organization and will be tasked with leveraging their expertise and insight to integrate compensation activities and programming with performance management, talent acquisition and engagement to help attract, retain and motivate talent.

    This position will be accountable to deliver outstanding service and support, working cross functionally with corporate and operations leadership, finance, as well as other People Team peers. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, detail oriented and values driven relationship builder with a deep understanding of all aspects of compensation (base and incentive) and strategy development.

    Job Duties:

    What you’ll do:

    • Develop, drive and provide oversight of the implementation of new, existing and revised compensation programs to align with company goals and strategic objectives across corporate and operations, as well as to support attracting, retaining and rewarding Invited talent
    • Establish credible and productive partnerships with business leaders and colleagues to define and deliver effective processes, programs and tools that support business goals
    • Review the annual wage and salary review programs and manage participation and analytics
    • Design a variety of creative short-term incentive compensation plans to drive performance including sales plans, operational plans, plans for our F&B servers and for our different lines of business. Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of bonus programs
    • Support communications on all bonus plans
    • Oversee due diligence on compensation structure to align with future public company structure
    • Design long-term incentive plans to engage and retain key talent
    • Prepare and build a framework for compensation pay practices and administration
    • Lead market pricing research, benchmarking and analysis to make recommendations to management on base salary levels, appropriate grade assignment, total compensation opportunity, and/or hiring ranges for a given position
    • Oversee program changes and new plan rollouts including, but not limited to, modeling, project planning, communications and training to all levels of team members
    • Support forecasting and budgeting of all compensation programs
    • Provide guidance on reported changes in federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance
    • Manage vendors to deliver, innovate and align with company strategies and objectives
    • Establish and manage governance, compliance, and process efficiency and accuracy for the compensation function
    • Ensure the quality, integrity and timeliness of the compensation team's reports, management reviews, analysis and processes
    • Lead and provide guidance on the administration of individual and team performance metrics; manage staff and monitor individual performance and development.

    Education & Experience:

    • Minimum of 7 years of progressive, broad-based and incentive compensation experience preferably in geographically dispersed, multi-location organization(s)

    • Demonstrated experience evaluating, designing and implementing impactful compensation programs with an understanding of the financial metrics

    • Advanced excel skills including use of pivot tables, macros, formulas, data validation, and tables

    • Prior experience working in HRIS systems, including running queries, accessing and manipulating data

    • Prior experience with data modeling and research skills

    • Ability to see connections in and draw accurate conclusions from data, then determine appropriate interventions to address business challenges
