Navigating the gnarly, heavy waves of compensation benchmarking data today can be extreme.  With so many different surveys, new data, and tools, it's easy for HR and comp folks to get totally wiped out trying to pick the most righteous and real data for their crew. This panel is gonna dive deep into the chill currents of this data ocean. We'll hang on some corduroy waves and discuss different kinds of comp data – from traditional surveys, to payroll data, to public sources, up to and including highly-specialized reports – and figure out what makes the most sense for your workforce, keeping in mind that most comp teams aren't able to catch extra budget. We'll talk about how to tune into good data, grok the subtle shifts in varying survey styles, and ensure your data choices totally groove with your organization's unique comp strategy, industry, and even where your good vibes are flowing on the map.

But it's not just about catching the perfect wave; it's about riding it! We will lay out how to truly barrel up your compensation benchmarking data into an epic set once you've got it. We'll explore ways to make sense of those wild data sets, spot the gnarly trends, and turn those insights into totally righteous compensation moves. We're talking about blending different data sources like a master mixer, adjusting for those crazy market swells, dropping some wisdom on the big kahunas, and using your benchmarking data to bring in awesome talent, keep your current crew stoked, and keep your overall comp looking totally righteous in this ever-changing ocean. So get ready to hang ten with your comp data!
