    In this role you will assist in the development, design, implementation, and management of company compensation programs. You will act as an advisor and technical expert on compensation-related matters. You will administer compensation programs and activities while ensuring internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

    Job Duties:

    • Support compensation strategy by developing, recommending, implementing, and maintaining base salary and variable pay programs.
    • Oversee the merit review cycle and annual incentive cycles.
    • Participate in sales compensation plan management including eligibility determinations and plan design.
    • Participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position.
    • Initiate market pricing and job evaluation activities, including matching internal positions to external data and formulating recommendations.
    • Maintain job profiles and ensure accuracy of data in Human Resource (HR) systems. (Set up, maintain and audit compensation in Workday software).
    • Audit pay practices to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation applicable to wage and hour laws and regulations.
    • Partner with HR Business Partners and Management on routine activities, ad hoc requests and projects.

    Education & Experience:

    • Relevant degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred.
    • 5 or more years of relevant work experience in employee compensation required.
    • Workday experience strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of all federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs.
    • Broad, practical knowledge of Compensation and Human Resource Information System techniques and methods.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data and statistics associated with compensation tasks.
    • Highly organized, able to multitask with the ability to prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines and quickly adapt to change.

    Manager Compensation - Fort Worth, TX

    Job Summary:

    This position will guide, consult and execute across a breadth of compensation-related matters including design, implementation, compliance, reporting & analysis, and day-to-day administration of BNSF’s compensation policies and programs.

    This position has the ability to work remote up to 50% of the time.

    Job Duties:

    • Initiate projects that support BNSF’s ability to attract and retain talent through competitive compensation programs
    • Assess compliance, risk and cost of various compensation programs and decisions
    • Analyze market data, review job documentation, and make compensation recommendations to maintain internal and external equity across all aspects of compensation

    Education & Experience:

    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
    • Minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources or comparable industry experience
    • Strong communication skills and ability to challenge/influence business partners with expense leverage concepts
    • Ability to coordinate tasks and make decisions independently
    • Ability to adjust readily to multiple demands and shifting priorities
    Preferred Education, Experience, or Skills:

    Job Summary:
    Assists in developing, implementing, and administering Johnstone’s compensation plans to attract, retain, and engage employees. Compiles compensation and other HR data to produce actionable reports

    Job Duties:

    • Benchmark total compensation and provide leadership information regarding direct and indirect compensation trends that may impact recruitment and retention programs. Supports compensation plan design processes through scenario planning and data modeling.
    • Maintains the company’s competitive pay grade salary structures for each market area. Analyzes market trends, company structures, compa-ratios and recommends updates.
    • Participates in relevant salary studies by providing, collecting, and submitting company compensation data.
    • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence and recommends competitive compensation ranges for each position. Utilizes competitive market data and knowledge of internal position scope of responsibilities to recommend job classifications.
    • Supports budgeting processes by researching compensation trends, analyzing incumbent compensation against internal and external ranges, and recommending adjustments. Provides information to the Finance team and department leaders to support budgeting processes.
    • Ensure position and compensation data is accurate in the HRIS by updating the Payroll department.
    • Supports incentive payment and merit increase processes by calculating eligibility levels based on plan parameters and managing workflow to obtain manager input and appropriate approval processes. Oversees communication processes to ensure employees are aware of incentive payments and/or compensation adjustments.
    • Performs pay equity, FLSA, and other analyses to ensure compensation practices comply with current market regulations. Makes recommendations to resolve any issues identified.
    • Compiles data to produce regular and ad hoc reporting for leadership, including staffing levels, turnover, benefits plan utilization, retirement plan metrics, incentive projections, and other data to support strategic initiatives.

    Education & Experience:

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Human Resources or related discipline (e.g., compensation administration, design, and strategy, or other related field); at least three years of Compensation; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of job analysis and job evaluation systems and processes
    • Knowledge of compensation administration principles and methodologies
    • General knowledge of business financial principles
    • Knowledge of common HR metrics and Key Performance Indicators
    • General knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits, including ERISA, IRS, DOL, FLSA
    • Ability to use and leverage compensation modules within an HRIS, ADP, or equivalent system
