    Role will be a key member of a team responsible for administering compensation plans and payouts.     Job Duties:

    People:
    Leads and develops a team of 1-2 people, including providing day-to-day support as needed in addition to long-term development and mentorship. Manage performance and sets expectations clearly with each team member.

    Value:

    • Administers existing and proposed compensation programs, including (but not limited to) base and incentive pay structures. Uses objective analysis to recommend optimum solutions that align with the Firm’s strategic goals and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
    • Manages and administers job evaluations to ensure title, level and salary range/pay grade for jobs are appropriate and consistent across the Firm. Ensures job classifications are in compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), or appropriate local laws.
    • Supports the administration and maintenance of Ryan People Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
    • Participates in the Merit & Promotion annual cycle to ensure compensation guidelines are accurately established, salary adjustments are in compliance with Firm practices, and compensation data within the Workday HCM system is maintained.

    Job Duties:

This team member is responsible for providing subject matter expertise on administration, compliance, vendor management, reporting, as well as employee communication and education for compensation programs. As a member of the Total Rewards team, this role will partner closely with internal stakeholders across the global Human Resources function, and external business leaders to support the business and drive a high performing culture. The Total Rewards Sr Analyst will provide support to the Total Rewards management team and other GM Financial employees as it relates to compensation.

    Job Duties:

    • Partner with global HR business partners to understand business needs. Design creative and innovative solutions to meet the needs. Prepare and present materials for HR and business leaders that clearly and effectively recommend solutions.
    • Prepare and maintain job descriptions in the organization, ensure descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents and are properly reflected in our systems.
    • Conduct job analysis, market pricing, and internal equity review to determine base pay and salary grade recommendations for new positions
    • Participate in published salary surveys, conduct customized salary surveys, and evaluate compensation survey data to determine company's competitive position
    • Participate and provide support in the planning and administration of the annual salary review processes for assigned business units
    • Review and propose salary adjustments for internal and external offers for conformance to established guidelines, policies, and practices
    • Recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation related problems
    • Perform financial analysis and cost-benefit analysis for strategic initiatives and special projects. Make recommendations regarding financial impact of initiatives and projects
    • Assist in the design, communication, and implementation of incentive and base pay programs
    • Conform with all corporate policies and procedures
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
    • 4-6 yrs experience in the Human Resources field, preferably with significant emphasis in compensation; comparable or equivalent related experience considered
    • Working towards CCP, CBP certification.
    • Previous experience working with a compensation consulting firm a plus.
    • Would prefer experience working in a large, global company

    • Administer the incentive calculations for multiple incentive compensation programs, including calculations, communications and processing through HRIS systems. For commission-based plans, partner with Accounting, who calculates these payouts, to ensure compliance with the plan documents.
    • Assists with the due diligence process and manages the compensation integration process for mergers and acquisitions, and international expansion.
    • Partner with the rest of the Total Rewards team to support Firm initiatives, ensure alignment across programs, and ensure a consistent team member experience.
    • The role will have the opportunity to present recommendations and findings to top leaders, including the CEO. Strong executive presence is required Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment as well as responding to changing priorities quarter to quarter

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field with seven to ten years compensation experience required. At least three years of equity experience required. International experience is preferred.
